Our vision is to create a world-wide network of Exuberant Animal dojos and master-level trainers (senseis). (Dojo is a Japanese word meaning "training hall" or "place of the way.") In the Exuberant Animal model, each dojo will serve as reference point for a culture of physicality, health, performance, training, community, creativity and leadership. Exuberant Animal dojos will each have a similar look and feel, but will be located in a wide variety of environments, from the city to the wild. In this way, they will serve as points of connection and integration, bridging the gap between modern civilization and the natural world. Exuberant Animal dojos will be traditional in many ways: They will be clean, orderly, light and simple. They will be places of respect, learning, transformation and zanshin. Exuberant Animal dojos will also be non-traditional: The curriculum will begin with the body, but will be multi-disciplinary and progressive. Our training will include play, exploration, adventure and discovery. Master level senseis will be accomplished teachers and leaders, trained by Exuberant Animal.
