Swoops

This is simply a big U-shape that you’ll describe with your hands or a med ball. The simplest way to think of this is as a series of layups, back and forth with your partners holding up targets as “baskets.” Set the distance as desired, then add one more rule: you’ve got to swoop the arc close to the floor at the mid-point. And moreover, you’ve got to do this in a squatting motion, bending at the hip.

Work the steps out as necessary; there’s no correct pattern, just whatever is smooth and graceful. You can shuffle or cross step as desired, but try to stay mostly in the frontal plane.

The key to this game lies in good coaching; partners should position themselves at the appropriate distance and keep adjusting. Move the targets for best effect–move around the room as necessary. If you're leading this game, set a number of touches for each round. Or, you might say "Go until you're pumped" or "Go until it's no fun anymore."
